Why I Selected My Theme?

We are going to talk about why I chose my Theme for WordPress. I chose my theme, Astra, because it is very simple and clean.

When I decided to use the Astra, it seemed to match my vibes. I can’t use my previous theme because of the issue. I want something that is very lightweight, flexible, and clean. This will help with my site for homemade recipes. The Astra is a very good offer for the balance of performance, customization, and design of the freedom.

Customizations I Performed

I created my own customizations for my site’s themes:

1. Header & Branding

I added my own design of logo image with Site Title and tagline to match the Scratch Bake identity.

2. Typography Adjustments

I selected amazing fonts is Playfair Display and Serif including the body too. They are very cozy, just like a bakery.

3. Color Palette

I customized the global colors to soft Cedar because it has a spring and summer vibe. I can choose the colors in the future to match the season or holiday.

4. Homepage Layout

Using the block editor, I rearranged sections to highlight:

  • A welcome message
  • Recipe pages
  • Future product areas for WooCommerce

5. Image Optimization

I used WordPress’s built‑in image editing tools to crop and resize images for better.
